Last Saturday evening went exceptionally well and David should be congratulated on the professional way he handled the musical part. His choice of music was pitched at the right level and enjoyed by all. In addition I found him very helpful and friendly and was a good advert for DiscosOnline. Please give him my regards and also to Mick his 'minder'.

| Dear Jim, Just a quick note to say thank you for the excellent job the DJ did last night at our Wedding reception (Hurtwood Inn Hotel). I would be grateful if you could pass this on to the DJ as well (I think his name was Andy, but there was a lot going on yesterday !). I particularly wanted to write as I believe one of the (possibly rather inebriated) guests made a few uncomplimentary comments to the DJ about some of the music. I want to assure you that we were extremely happy with what was played, for the simple reason that I don't think there was a single person out of the nearly 100 guests we had that did not spend at least 20 minutes on the dance floor – most spent a lot longer. Given that this included children as young as 2 and adults as old as 74 (some of whom never dance), I think this was quite an achievement. For one of our guests (who should have known better as he was actually one of the Ushers !) to expect his own specific taste in music to be played all night was unreasonable and was very much against our wishes anyway. Everyone else seemed to be quite happy with the wide variety of music played. Our only regret for the evening was that we didn't get to join people on the dance floor as often as we would have liked. There were so many guests, some of whom we hadn't seen in a few years, and we had to spend a large amount of our time socialising in the bar, the lounge, by the buffet, etc. Speaking of which I apologise as I think I forgot to mention about the buffet being at 9pm (probably kept a lot of people off the dance floor for at least 30-45 minutes) – but the selection of old classics (I recall some Sinatra, I'm sure) while we were sitting eating (probably about 9:30pm) was perfect for the situation. Just wanted to say a big thank you because i had a great night and everyone i have spoken to said they had a fantastic time at my 40th Birthday Party.
The music Andy played was perfect especially as Andy played the music of the stars that everyone was dressed as (Elvis, Village People, Madonna, Madness and others). The pictures we have from the party show the dance floor packed and everyone looked like they really enjoyed it. One of my friends thought she had dislocated her hip because she was jumping around so much.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all of your hard work recently, especially over the Christmas period where you were such an asset to the hotel, not only were you prompt for every Party but you were very professional too.
I knew i didn't have to worry that you would bring the wrong equipment or that you would need help with the setting up before hand as you just got on with it from day one.
The other great skill you have is being aware of your audience and the music that they want to hear. Your experience is invaluable to you as well as your routines throughout the night which helped to give a truely great service which make you a credit.
The Mandolay look forward to working with you again this Christmas and I am sure you will be as much of a success this year as last.
